Main Task: Post Production Feedback

For my post production feedback, I sent my music magazine to my target audience from Facebook- this is a site that my target audience socialize on.

This a brief conclusion of what criticism and strengths I received:

Front Cover:
StrengthsThey really liked the colour scheme of my front cover, as it is eye catching. The colour scheme also links in with the genre of music. They liked the shadows on the models face as it attracts the audience to look longer. They also like the models clothing as it fits in with their age group.
Weaknesses
There are not a lot of weaknesses with my front cover as most of them said it looked professional, however one said that the main cover line should be more eye catching, as it fits in with their social group.

Contents Page
Strengths
They liked my contents page and said that the layout was good and looks professional. The editiors note was realy professional too
Weaknesses
Some criticized about the chronological orders of my numbers on the pictures and others said that the size of "contents" on the contents page should be smaller.

Double Page Spread
Strengths
They liked the interview as it was interesting and enjoyable to read. They also liked that drop capital I had at the beginning of the interview.
Weaknesses
The only weakness I revived for my double page spread was that I should of added more images of the artist I am interviewing, as it will make the double page spread have more to look at.

I will use this picture as my front cover, as the pose is very strong as well as the picture being suitable for a Hip Hop/RnB magazine.

I might use this as my double page spread, as the spacing is good in this picture and so is the pose.

Pictures I WON'T use:

I will not use these pictures as in one of them my model was not ready, and the other two images are blurry and have less lighting.

Main Task: Profiling Your Audience

The typical Pulse Reader: Brandon Wilson aged 19, loves Hip Hop and R&B with a strong passion. The music Brandon listens to hugely affects his lifestlye as he likes to dance to this genre, and have a dress sense with this genre.

Brandon connects with his music all the time through his phone, laptop and iPod. He says that he finds peace when its him and his music alone, and that the music he listens to affects his personal life a lot. He attends concerts whenever he has time. He has spent a fortune on concert tickets and on iTunes- by keeping himself updated with his music. Brandon owns all the lastest gadgets from an iPhone to a Blackberry to a Mac Book to an iPad to Beat Headphones and to iPods. Brandon can't live without his music, a day that his gadgets break he will try and find an alternative route to listen to his music.

Brandon updates all his freinds and likes being updated himself by social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, BBM and Whatsapp. Brandon is a huge fan of Pulse Magazine as, like his social networks, it updates him a lot with his music genre. Brandon tells his friends to read Pulse magazine.
